London’s success for all

London’s economy under Ken has consistently grown more rapidly than the rest of the UK and London has overtaken even New York to become the economically most successful city in the world.

Huge numbers of Londoners have contributed to that success, but the Mayor has three key jobs.

First, to deliver large investment so that London’s economy can continue to grow – that’s why Ken has put in so much effort into successfully getting the finance for Crossrail

and other big infrastructure improvements in London.

Second, to make sure that all Londoners share in the city’s success. Ken does not believe automatic ‘trickle down’ of wealth will deliver this and pursues active policies to ensure all Londoners share in the city’s success.

The third key priority, to make sure that success is sustainable in the long run, is dealt with in policies on the environment.
