Boris Johnsons opinion poll finds Londoners think fares too high and fewer police on streets

Following the publication of the Mayor’s Annual Survey today a spokesperson for Ken Livingstone said,

‘It is telling that Boris Johnson’s own opinion poll shows what we are finding across London, on crime and public transport Londoners do not support the Mayor's police cuts and fare increases.

‘The survey shows Londoners have seen fewer police officers on the streets yet Boris Johnson is cutting 1500 officers between 2011 and 2012.

‘The number of Londoners who believe public transport is too expensive has risen by a third yet Boris Johnson has committed London to 20 years of above inflation fare rises.’
